The Rocky Horror Ball returns this Halloween season to help Nashville and Louisville do the "Time Warp" again! Taking place at PLAY Dance Bar in both Nashville and Louisville, the event will see the Acting Against Cancer cast of Rocky Horror present the beloved story of horror, hysteria and heels on stage October and 21 and 28. Karter Louis returns as Dr. Frank 'n' Furter, and he, along with a special guest, will help judge this year's costume contest. For 2017, the show will also be presented at PLAY in Nashville October 13 and 14, proving that this "Sweet Transvestite" is well on his way to world (and sexual) domination!
Approaching its fourth year, Acting Against Cancer has renewed Rocky Horror as a tradition in Louisville. Originating in The Henry Clay Theatre, the show – or “The Rocky Horror Ball” – has also been performed in Louisville’s Central Park, but has found a home base at PLAY in Louisville’s Butchertown neighborhood. As a show that celebrates individuality, PLAY is the perfect place to present Louisville’s Rocky Horror.
With such past collaborators as Yelp, the Kentucky Cancer Program, Norton Children’s Hospital and Copper & Kings, Acting Against Cancer looks forward to continuing to produce Rocky Horror in Louisville and celebrating the quirks that make us all unique.
