Having completed its seventh year, Acting Against Cancer has renewed Rocky Horror as a tradition in Louisville and become Louisville’s Rocky. Originating in The Henry Clay Theatre, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW has also been performed in Louisville’s Central Park, but has found a home base at PLAY in Louisville’s Butchertown neighborhood. As a show that celebrates individuality, PLAY is the perfect place to present Louisville’s Rocky Horror. We’ve also gotten the blessing of the folks who made the original, as AAC has had the opportunity to meet Barry Bostwick (Brad), Patricia Quinn (Magenta) and Nell Campbell (Columbia) multiple times, with Campbell even joining us on stage for a live performance of “Time Warp,” singing right along with Sara Troxel, our own Columbia!
With such past collaborators as Yelp, the Kentucky Cancer Program, Norton Children’s Hospital, Copper & Kings, Iroquois Amphitheater, GalaxyCon, the Sauerbeck Drive-In and PLAY Louisville and Nashville, Acting Against Cancer looks forward to continuing to produce ROCKY HORROR in Louisville and celebrating the quirks that make us all unique.
